It's OK, I think it's very common in Finland, where it's pronounced something like AHR-toh. In English I think it would sound more like "are too" or "R2" as in R2D2 from Star Wars...

Arto would never be pronounced as "are too" in English. Pretty much all English speakers would say AHR-toh (or AHR-doh).
No, in the US it would not sound like 2r2. It would just sound like R-Toe.
We have a multicultural family (4 languages), so we don't pronounce it english. Otherwise i wouldn't like it so much i think... ;) but i never though about that problematic with R2...
