I think it's by far the nicest of the Rose names, and I also find the ROSE version preferable. Actually, I only pronounce Rosalind with a ROZ, though my friend has a Mary Rosamund which they pronounce ROZ, except they mostly don't because of it being a mn. So that's OK.

I wouldn't put it in the middle! My default is Rosamund Philippa Jane, and I rather regret not being able to fit Elinor or Eleanor in there somewhere.
