Ever since I read the book Any Human Heart, the name of one of the female characters, Land Fothergill, has sort of been struck into my head, which is strange because I usually like the more elaborate, classical names like Aurelia, Cecilie, Marguerite, Letitia, things like that. What do you think of Land? Is it completely "out there"? Is there a name it could be a nickname for?

Also, I'd be hesitant to use it on a real child because I can't think of any sibling names to go with it. Any ideas?
