[Opinions] Alec?
Do you like the name Alec? It is an older name but I love it. I also like the name Alexander(Alex).

I love Alec.
I think it's a very sharp, very cool, very under-used nickname for Alexander. I would only use it as a nickname, though.
I kind of like Alec better than Alex since Alex is such a unisex nickname anymore. However, I still love the full name Alexander.

I hate it unless it's a nickname.
Erm, I only prefer the harder Alex and only as a nn for Alexander.
Alec, not that it sound bad (it sounds like a nice name) but I immediately think of 'smart-alec' which, imo, is not a good association...

I am loving Alec right now, it's so simple, smooth, handsome, and has a Scottish flair to it. In a book I'm reading there is a character named Alec Campbell and he's really cool! :)
I definately like it better than Alex, I have heard of it being used as a nn for Alexander, but I personaly would use it on it's own or as a nn for Alistair! :)
