There are only about 20 sets of triplets born every year in Sweden (only 11 in 2012), so they make exciting finds. So far I've spotted two sets born in 2013, one in an article and another in a BA. The latter weren't that interesting:

Emilia, Amanda & Lucas

The ones in the article, on the other hand ...

Evelina, Sofie & Messias (with a big brother Lukas)

Yeah, that's Messiah in Swedish. Very weird, considering Evelina, Sofie and Lukas are such common and normal names. I'm surprised Swedish naming restrictions even allowed it. :S

WDYT of these two sets?

Ouch. Poor Messias. His siblings sure lucked out.

Emilia and Amanda are a bit similar for sisters IMO, but the first set is nice.

Yes, Evelina, Sofie and Mattias would have been so much better. (And sounded like they were 20-25 years older than they are! :P)

As they are, definitely the first set, but if I could mix and match I'd choose Emilia, Sofie and Lukas.

I find Messias (or Messiah) a really weird choice for a baby, but it especially doesn't make sense in this sibset (the other names aren't even particularly religious).

Messias!? Members of Livets Ord, or what? Ick! Couldn't they just have chosen a beautiful Biblical name, like David or Gabriel?
I don't like Lucas at all, but the other names are OK.

(Livets Ord is a Christian charismatic sect.)

They're all very tasteful with the exception of Messias. Wow! Evelina and Sofia are especially lovely.

My first thought when I saw Messias was "aren't Swedish naming laws fairly strict?" Do you think it is meant to sound sacrilegious, or pious? There's no chance it's a printing error?

The first set is plain, but nice. The second set seems like an odd combination. But I love the look of Sofie.

Definitely no printing error. My qualified guess is that it was allowed because there already are four Messias in Sweden. Those four have probably moved here from another country, or taken the name as adults (laws for changing your own name aren't as strict), but nonetheless that opened up for allowing Messias on a baby. And I've got no clue if it's meant to be sacrilegious or pious, or if - which I think is rather likely - they just thought it sounded cool ...

Emilia, Amanda and Lucas sound a bit bland together. I think they're strangely paired because I consider Amanda a little more dated than the others. I guess it's a nice enough set though.

Evelina, Sofie and Messias with Lukas is really an odd set. Lukas and Messias I would've understood with the assumption of them being really religious, but with Evelina and Sofie there it's just strange. It's my fav spelling of Sofie, which I think has a little more spunk than Sophie. Evelina is ok and so is Lukas. Messias is an incredibly awkward name to have I think...
