[Opinions] Branch
Was inspired today by Branch Rickey. I already love Bran, and nature names so this one really appeals to me. wdyt of this name for a boy?

I can't really see it as a name. It's too literal- all I see are actual branches and trees. It also isn't the most appealing sound.
Bran is nice, but Branch...no, sorry, I can't think of it as a name.
You're talking to a girl who likes the name Land. I say go for it! Branch definitely has a certain charm to it, though I prefer Bran or Bram.
It has an ugly sound, and inspires cracks about the family tree.
I'm sorry but I think its really silly. I think of trees and banks.
I wonder if I'm missing out on something because of my visceral repulsion to the sound Bra- anything. Brah- is okay, but bran/bram/brax just make me angry. I've always thought Branch was one of the most comically ugly words out there.
Maybe it's just my accent. I'm envisioning it in an English accent and it's nice. To my ear it just sounds soooo harsh and self-important. Purely phonetically, not connotationally.
Ummm I dunno, as a nature name I'm not really digging it either. A branch is kind of a... concept. yanno? I know most people wouldn't overthink this kind of thing, but I'm overthinking the heck out of it. I think that's an ok practice to use when approaching nonstandard names, though.

No offense, but it sounds a bit tacky.
