Message: "Azrealle" - Behind the Name

A new little girl started at my day care today. Her name is Azrealle (az-RAY-elle)but she goes by Elle. I think it's kind of cute, but I don't like the spelling.

Have any of you guys heard this name/seen it on anyone else? What are your thoughts on it?

Update!

Apparently, her name is spelled Azraelle. My boss misspelled it on the sign in sheet and her cubby.

I like this spelling a lot better.

This spelling is much better. :) But I still want to say azra-elle instead of az-RAY-elle even though the latter is better.

I've never seen this name on anyone, thank god. It reminds me of Azrael (or is it Azreal?), Gargamel's evil cat in "The Smurfs". I really dislike it, but at least she has Elle to fall back on.

az-RAY-elle sounds pretty but Azrealle just looks weird. Azraelle seems like it would make more phoentic sense. I've never heard of the name but I like it.

Azraelle looks weird, too. I wonder if there's a better way to spell it without it looking so clunky.

I agree about the spelling. Azrealle looks like it should be pronounced AZ-REEL.

I'm not sure, but I'm guessing there's a good chance that it is.

I've never heard/seen an Azraelle, though. I'm kind of sad that she goes by "Elle."
