[Opinions] Ocarina!!!
Ok, this has been a GP for me for a while, so don't me to use this name unless for a character! Anyway what are thoughts on the name Ocarina? Is it more fenimine or masculine? Any nickname ideas? Any combos? Do you pronounce it more like Aw-CAR-ree-nah or Aw-CAR-ray-nah? Personally, I like it for a girl! I just like the sound of it, though it is similar to the name Carina. Seeing how it is a name of an obscure musical instrument makes it a definitely usual name!

The ending screams feminine.I think Ocarina sounds ridiculous as a name.

I'd forgotten about the musical instrument. Thanks! My first thought was of octarine, which is the Colour of Magic on the Discworld. A false trail. For a fictional character, why not indeed? There is an authoritative mention somewhere in Leslie Dunkling of a girl born to musical parents and named Amanda-Lynn, and speaking strictly for myself, I'd rather be Ocarina any day.

It's a bit of a GP, but I like it as a middle name. But I thought it was "AW-ca-REE-na"...

I can only see it on a girl. But I prefer Oscaria, which is a real name.

lol. I'd love to meet someone named Ocarina, preferably a girl. Where is the "ray" coming from? It's an i...I've always said it oh-cah-REE-na but I know it's aw-cah-REE-nah. But definitely always third syllable emphasized. Ocarina Juliana
Ocarina Desprez
