[Opinions] BA
DF's second cousin had a baby a few weeks ago and I found out his name over the weekend while we were at a family reunion. I'm really surprised, because, just knowing my area, I was expecting something like Caden or Mason or something. Something trendy.
His name is Donald Ray.
Even though I'm surprised, I still don't really care for it. I'm surprised Donald is at 400 on the popularity charts.

I don't like Donald because of personal experiences. There's a kid at my school called Donnie (Donald) who keeps getting arrested for having drugs and swearing at the police.
I like Ray, but whenever I hear it I laugh because I'm thinking of the Father Ray at my church who's, like, twenty-seven, and always makes mass entertaining because he messes stuff up. Once he forgot to have the offering baskets passed around. Also, he gets really emotional during homilies and once went on for fifteen minutes on why holiday is a SECULAR word, gosh darn it, and we should say stuff like "Holy Day" and "Christ's Mass" instead.
But overall, I like the name Donald Ray. It seems like an interesting combo, very traditional, and gives lots of opportunities for nicknames. Also most people probably won't laugh and think of juvenile delinquents when they hear it. I think it's great!

Uh.
Uh.
It's a howler. I mean, I can't help but laugh when I think of Donald Ray and his friends Jayden and Oliver and Noah. It's just so funny.
Donald Ray Pollock is one of my favorite authors even though so far as I know he only has the one novel and one book of short stories.
My guess is that Donald depends on the Junior factor to keep it as high on the charts as it is.

Oh I rather like it. I kinda want to add Donald to PNL now.
