[Opinions] Sablona
I made this name up when I was younger. I read a book about the islands of the Atlantic Ocean and fell in love with Sable Island outside Nova Scotia, Canada.
The book I read said that the French word for sand is sablon, from which I got Sablona. Later I learned that the French word for sand is simply sable (pr. sahbl), but I still like Sablona. The only think I don't like is that it's a bit too close to "sabla", which is a mild cuss in Swedish (like "sabla idiot"; darn idiot).
WDYT about Sablona?
(Apparently it means "template" in Czech if spelled with a v over the S...)
(For fun I also made up Gravella from the word "gravel", but I think it sounds horrible!)

I like the backstory. :)
Sablona to rhyme with Mona doesn't sound nice to be at all. I hear "blown" as well, plus it reminds me of the word bologna for some reason.
Sablona to rhyme with Shauna is a bit better. The look still reminds me of bologna, but the sound isn't terrible. Though it feels a bit along thee lines of D'Shawn...S'Blona anyone? :)

It sort of depends on whether it's prn. Sa-blawna or Sa-blohna.
If it rhymes Shawna then it's alright - it does sound placenamey and the right amount exotic. If it rhymes Mona, then I'm having a problem with the sound of the word "blown" in it. I'd consider spelling it Sablonna just to be sure it was rhyming Shawna.

I actually meant it to be pronounced Sa-blawna, but maybe Sa-blohna sounds better...
