[Opinions] Beatrice
What do you think of Beatrice, I think it is very pretty and classy. It is getting more popular. I would use it in homage to Beatrice Portinari.

I don't mind the name Beatrice at all. I used to hate it and found it frumpy and boring, but over the years I have come to appreciate the timeless beauty of the name. Bea is such a cute nn too.

I like it. It feels buttoned-up to me, which I find cute.

It's a nice name. I just saw Much Ado About Nothing and Beatrice was very good and also quite small and dark and pretty, just like I'd picture a bearer of that name. I think Robin Beatrice is a nice combo, inspired by your username. Cecilia Beatrice is also nice.

I really like it. I probably wouldn't use it though because so many people seem to hate it and it sounds quite old-fashioned. I like the nn "Bea" pronounced either as BEE or BEE-ah too :)

I love Beatrice it's one of my favourite names. I think it's beautiful and unusual.

It's two words smushed together, therefore all I hear is beat rice. Not overly fond of it.

My grandma was Beatrice, and she died last year. I would use it, and my style is unusual names with a history, and this name fits.

Beatrice reminds me of weak lettuce. It has no "oomph". I don't hate it, but it's definitely not one of my favorites.

I used to really like it and now I'm not as into it. I think I prefer Beatrix a little more, honoring Beatrix Potter.

Beatrix has the spark that Beatrice lacks, IMO.

I used it in homage to my mother! And to her mother, whose mn it was. My daughter likes it, goes by Bea, and encounters large numbers of people who either assume it's "really" Beatrix or pronounce it with two syllables: Beetrice! But she puts them right very briskly.

It's definitely not making any comeback here. The only Beatrice I ever knew would be in her nineties if she was still alive. My husband went to school with a Beatrice, she was from Jamaica or some other Caribbean place.
I think Bea is a cute name, cute in a very grandmotherly wayy. But I think Beatrice is prissy and stuffy and not very attractive. Also, in the course of work, I used to have to call a place in Beatrice, Nebraska. They were quick to tell me the name of their town is pronounced Bee-AT-riss, heavy emphasis on the second syllable. Which sounds even worse than Beatrice.
