[Opinions] How would you spell a name pronunced LEE-zuh?
And how do you feel about the sound?Cat Stevens has a song called "Sad Lisa" (off Tea for the Tillerman), and he pronunces the name with a Z sound. I really like how it sounds--and I think the song itself is gorgeous--but the name wouldn't possibly be pronunced correctly if I spelled it Lisa.Array

You've thrown the worst fear that can ever be hurled: fear to bring children into the world. For threatening my baby, unborn and unnamed, you ain't worth the blood that runs in your veins....I'd like to leave the world as a better place.

Liza is a no go.Most people pronunce it Lisa (the idiots) or LYE-za. I rarely heard lee-za.

Leeza seems the most phonetic (like Leeza Gibbons, whose name is pronounced LEE-zah), but looks quite kre8tiv imo. :( Maybe Leza or Leiza? Not sure. :-/~Heather~

I'd say Leeza or just Lisa. Liza to me is LIE-za.

My name is Alisa, pronounced Ah-lee-sah. I have never known any Lisa's who have pronounced their name lee-zuh. I would only pronounce 'Liza' this way.

I would say Liza, even though many people would probably try to pronounce it LEYE-zah.

Liisa. I pronounce the name Liza LYE-zah, and the name Lisa LEE-suh (with a short "ee" sound). But that's just me.

You are remembering correctly.I used to watch those all the time. I'd stay home "sick" from school sometimes when I didn't feel like going in and would rather watch shows like that instead. :-) Such academic integrity I had.
