Lucky them if they are mistaken for Julie! I always hear it as Jujube, and I really don't find it attractive for human use ... perhaps because it is fun to say.

I like the shiny happiness built right into Jubilee. It's cute...really too cute for me, at least as a first name.

My grandmother knew an old, old lady named Jubilation.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet, but it reminds me of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee! Not an awful connotation or anything, but that's where my mind goes. It's cute and fun to say, but it's like... really really cute. It's almost comical because it just makes me think hyper and bubbly thoughts. There's a goofiness about this name that can't really go unnoticed. I mean... just say "Jubi" on its own. It's like a cartoon character.

I like it, but I don't think I would recommend anyone to use it. It's a bit too out there.

It's alright - I'm accustomed to it as a name, so it's a normal-eccentric name like Rebel or Athena. I don't think it's so different or oddly spelled that it would be hard to go through life. Michaela would probably be harder. I think it could give a lot of people an impression of a certain demographic origin - although my own idea about that is really vague. I'm just aware of the word having religious connotations. But the impression isn't so strong that I'd make assumptions, even that the bearer was religious at all. In my religion-less (religion-free?) life I've heard the word jubilee mentioned more often in the context of price specials and secular events than I have heard it in a religious sense.

Personally I don't care for the JOOB sound, or the hyper-happy connotation I get from it. It's similar to Felicity that way - not as bad. Anyway overall I think it does sound namey and nice, and I think it's decent.

Another name like it is Verilee. It's taken from the word "verily" meaning truly.

I like it for a middle name. I feel like it needs a nickname if its a first name and I can't think what that would be. The meaning is nice and I think its a common enough word that it wouldn't be too difficult. There's certainly worse names.

I think it's garish and bizarre. I don't like the way it sounds at ALL either.

I really like the sonorousness and exuberance of Jubilee, despite its heavy religious associations. I definitely think it could work!

I think it's kind of tacky.

It reminds me of the X-Men character. Her full name was Jubilation and Jubilee was her nn. Because of that character, I don't have any overtly religious feelings about this name. I can see it but I don't feel it.

I met a girl name Jubilee. She was... quirky. Home schooled quirky. She was cute though, with a ton of freckles and a wide smile. She was a genius who was sometimes rude without meaning to be (hello home schooling) but she carried the name Jubilee well, I think. She said most people laugh in glee when they hear her name. Like that can't imagine anyone could have such a happy name.

It's a strange mix of "Evangelical home-schooled rah-rah family gospel singing troupe with 16 kids," "surgically enhanced stripper whose dalliance with a hitherto-unknown-outside-his-own-district Congressman gives her fifteen minutes of fame" and "Stereotypical loyal black servant who adores the white children she raises while their mother plays bridge and cooks up harebrained plots to accomplish nothing much, all in a "The Help" knockoff."
