[Opinions] Quadruplets
I know I posted a message yesterday about this but I was wondering - what would you name Quadruplets? Would you use a theme or give them completely different names?
You can do any combination of girls/boys.

Three boys, one girl.Darcy Alexander
Hadley Miles
Murray Enjolras
Estella Vyvyana (yep, I'd do that in real life.)I really, really want to use Murray, but it's bothering me that all of them are namesakes except Murray. Ugh, I'll think about it.

Completely different names but they would have to work well together...All boys: Elijah, August, Jack, Thomas
All girls: Ariana, Willow, Lilia, IndieEvery other combination would be a mix of those names =)

I wouldn't use a theme but I would want their names to get together stylistically. I'll do an all girls set and an all boys set.
Girls:
Thalia Eve
Giselle Ariadne
Seraphine Lilac
Iris Juliette or Iris AureliaBoys:
Alexander Atlas
Caius Sebastian
Leo Hadrian
Orion Thomas

I only have satisfactory combos for two boys and three girls, so the other ones aren't that thought through ... There is some themey stuff, but they're things I would do for any siblings, not just quads.G/G/G/G
Altea Saga Snöfrid Desideria
Mirjam Lilja Sunniva Fortunata (not sure about this)
Saskia Rosa Miranda Berengaria

The only change I would do is to switch Noah with Sebastian. Noah is my #1 boys name, but the with Sebastian all the names are similar in length and has a nickname. Other than that, I'd name them exactly what I would name any other kids, quads or no quads. Boys:
Alexander Kjell Noah "Alex"
William Per Maximilian "Liam"
Theodore Kieran Felix "Theo"
Sebastian Leo Vilhelm "Sebbe / Seb / Bastian"
Girls:
Alice Anna Seraphina
Nova Britt Isadora
Ebba Olivia Emmeline
Stella Camilla Elvira
The first MN is honoring, except from Theodore's combo where Theodore is the honoring name.

I absolutely would not use a theme, unless you consider a "style" a theme. I would go with:Henry Robert
Jude Nathaniel
Amelia Josephine
Eleanor Susannahor Henry Robert
Jude Nathaniel
Jack Allen
Atticus Joshuaor Amelia Josephine
Eleanor Susannah
Isabel Louisa
Ada Jillianor some other combo using the above names. They honor family but also use names I like.

I would give them completely different names. I'm all over the place with my top names at the moment but today I would name them:Juliet Minerva
Hugo Alexander
Veronica June
Nadia EsmeIRL I would prefer more boys than girls, but I can't decide if I like any boys names enough to put them in. Life's woes, I love girls names more but I'd rather actually have boys. Whatever would I name them? There is a small trend in that Minerva, June and Esme are all 'old lady' (Harry Potter, my grandmother and my elderly neighbour's names)

I also prefer to have more boys than girls. I do also find it easier to find girls names I like enough to use than I do for boys.

Hmm...Just two of each for now, but will probably edit tomorrow...Gilead Rylen Jax/ Malcolm Prosper Gilliland/ Eirabeth Evelyn Lamb/Guinevere Jessica Hope

Many of the names below are "experimental," in a sense-- they are a mixture of names I genuinely would consider, and others that are unorthodox to my typical preferences. I should also mention that there is no theme. I dislike "matchy" sets.

Hmmm....... I'm gonna do two boys and two girls, that's easiest. My top two girl combos have not changed: Amelia Ruth and Rebekkah Lynn. For boys: Anthony Josiah and Matthew Cole. There's a slight theme here: One name in each combo is Biblical.

I would name them like four completely different children, so no theme. Here are the quad combos I'm feelin' today:Norah Aveline
Lydia Katherine
Christina Jordan
Gillian PaigeCharles Mortimer
Holden James
Elias Howard
Nicholas TateLena Marcella
Joan Lisette
Abel Jonathan
Thomas Kelly

Nicholas Tate, Abel Jonathan, Lydia Katherine, and Joan Lisette are great, too.

I've been crushing on Kelly for a boy. It's so bright and happy.

All girls:
Xanthe Opal Esther
Sylvie Rowan Delphine
Eirlys Afton Reverie "Aerie"
Élodie Carys EmmelineAll boys:
Oskar Felix Matthias
August Malachi Noah "Gus"
Grover Levi Ignatius
Schuyler Patrick Ezra "Schuy"A combination:
From the above combos in order they are listed eg 3 boys 1 girl would be Oskar, August, Grover & Xanthe etc.
vote up1
August Malachi is adorable! Not feeling the Noah on the end, but 3 names is obviously your thing
vote up1
Fair enough! I just love the meaning of Noah :)The 3 name thing was kind of an accident- I was searching for the perfect Xanthe combo (my favourite girls name of 8+ years) and I hit upon Xanthe Opal Esther as a way to honor both of my grandmas. It was too prefect, and I couldn't bear to break it up over two girls names, but now all my combos have 2 mns because it would bug me to have it uneven. Doesn't bug me for anyone else's kids, but it would for mine. So, 3 name combos it is!Thanks :)
vote up1
WowLooking at the comments for Xanthe is amusing. Have you seen the disagreement of the pronunciation? It goes from Zan-thee to shawn-tay.On a related note, does anyone find it annoying when someone uses the argument, "It's my name so I should know how it's pronounced"?
vote up1
I think, "It's MY name, so I should know how it's spelled" is worse, especially if that person has a yoo-neek spelling and insists up and down that their way is the "right" way. UGH.
vote up1
Definitely! If its you're name, you might know how YOU pronounce it, but not necessarily how it is supposed to be pronounced. Just because your parents choose the name doesn't mean they are an expert in it, and parents often get the spelling our pronunciation wrong! R

This message was edited 12/4/2013, 11:35 AM

vote up1
Exactly! If you're pronouncing your name shawn-tay, that just means your parents had no idea how to pronounce it "correctly" and you're just carrying on the wrong way!
vote up1
I love your naming style! It's so fanciful.
vote up1
Thanks! I like that way of describing it. I usually go with "eclectic as hell" or "all over the place"!

Today, BBBG
Leo Philippus Elias
Roman Laurus Constantine
Oscar Santiago Marinus
Era Odilia Elodie
There's no theme or connection between them, other than that I'd avoid giving siblings the same first initial. Middle names are honouring or have a special meaning.
