Help[Opinions] A BA from work
I work in child care and one of our parents has just had a baby girl. I wasn't expecting much because the boy's name is Coby which isn't a bad name but here in Australia (I don't know about everywhere else) it's getting very common. But no, they named her Serenity! I thought that was lovely and wanted to share it, I guess I have a thing for virtue names but you've got to agree that Coby and Serenity make a pretty cute sibset =)

Nice! I like Serenity, although a lot of people probably think it's cheesy. I'm not a fan of Coby but Serenity saves the sibset.

I don't think it's the name of an adult diaper here. But I have to admit that part of the reason I like it is because of Firefly =P

See I love, Firefly. I lived and breathed it for a few years. It's still one of my favorite shows, but I just can't get on board with Serenity as a name, because all I can think of is Simon, in Out of Gas, saying he always thought it sounded vaguely funereal. Serenity as a ship name? Awesome. Serenity as a child's name? I think of death. That's just how it is.

Congrats to the family! I love virtue names, but for some reason Serenity never did much for me. Not sure why! I definitely don't hate it, just not one of my favorites. However, I cannot deny the adorableness of Coby and Serenity as a sibset! They go so well together! While Serenity isn't a personal favorite, I somehow get the feeling that no other name could have fit here better. Lovely sibset!Very happy for the family. :)
