I definitely think you're right in that this topic has been covered many times before - it's not about originality so much as taking a theme and putting a new spin on it and, in that respect, Hunger Games succeeds. And, anyway, I'd take it any day over 50 Shades of
Grey or Spanked in the Principals Office or whatever trash literature is currently popular.
