[Opinions] Umbriel
Have had this one stuck in my head for a few days now and am really liking it for a girl. Wdyt? Is it usable? Middle name ideas?

First thing, it reminds me of Umbreon, a Pokémon. Now, Pokémon is pretty popular, and I don't think it'll go away anytime soon. Also, the Eveelution line (of which Umbreon is part of) is a pretty popular line of Pokémon. A kid name Umbriel might get a lot of Pokémon references, maybe some teasing.
Next, I had to look up if Umbriel is an actual name. Apparently, it's the name of one of Uranus' moons, as well as a sprite in The Rape of the Lock, a poem by Alexander Pope. And I'm pretty sure that Umbriel was a male, and I wouldn't be surprised, as Umbriel does look masculine. Why not Ariel? It's another of Uranus' moons, and also a character in said poem. It keeps a neat connection, but is not quite so out there.

I would suggest to use something else. My maiden name is Umberger and as a child I got teased to no end! And that was just having it as a lastname. You might want to think about the teasing the child might receive having this name. But here are a couple middle name suggestions.
Umbriel Naomi
Umbriel Jade
Umbriel Margaret
Umbriel Mara
Umbriel Catherine
Umbriel Celeste
Hope those help. Not real sure what your naming style is. Or what the last name would be. Sorry I couldn't give you more suggestions.

Wow... A few years ago I "invented" Umbrielle because I liked the name of an underwear company (Ambrielle) but wanted the first sound to be "um" rather than "am" lol I never thought I'd come across it.
Now that I'm older I wouldn't use it because it is so made up.

I think Umbrella and "Um... Brielle?" I don't like it very much and I think it looks more masculine than feminine. It feels like it needs a fantastical middle name...
Umbriel Fantasia
Umbriel Mariska
Umbriel Alodia

Umbriel Mariska

It sounds like a Pokemon to me.
Probably a dark type too!
too close to umbrella :/
This was the name of the mermaid Fry fell in love with on "Futurama". Every time I hear it, I think of her.
I don't really like it. It sounds childish, like the name of a doll.

Or a mispronunciation of umbrella.
Umbrella..
... Sorry

I don't really like it. It reminds me of "umbrella." I don't think it looks nice either. Personally, I don't think it's very usable.
Not sure... It sounds mysterious and I kind of like it for a story or something, but I can't see it on a real person
I really like it! Umbra is good name as well and can be used as a nickname!
I like it. I'm not sure how usable it is-- the "um" part makes it sound a bit more fantastical / not quite fitting for a baby or little kid, but I like it. Ambriel would be more usable IMO, but Umbriel is cooler. :P
