[Opinions] Kenya
Sorry for the lapse in time that I have been MIA from posting but life got in the way unfortunately. So I was thinking of the name Kenya and I really like it but I was wondering if it is a name that you typically associate with an african american woman? I do, I could not picture a blond hair blue eyed girl with this name but I do like the name a lot, and my children are biracial so it is a name I would consider. What are your thoughts and what are some combos?Kenya Elyse
Kenya Danielle
Kenya Noelle
Kenya Annabelle
Kenya Angeline
Kenya Faith
Kenya Giselle
Kenya Jenese
Kenya Nicole
Kenya Payge
Kenya Annastacia

Just to make an apology I did not mean to post Elise and Paige with y's in them! I wanted to see what it would like with the y in Kenya and then a y in the mn spot. Didnt double check my work, sorry!!Jenese is pronounced like the word niece. Any suggestions on how to spell it so the pronounciation would be a little clearer.

Kenya is not a name I associate with any particular race. I've never heard of one or met one. Kenya Elise would be nice, but I don't like the look of Kenya Elyse.
I like Kenya Noelle a lot. Very nice.
How is Jenese pronounced?
Kenya Paige would be okay. But no extra Ys.

I love Kenya but I would never use it since I am not African American and I honestly find place names a bit on the tacky side. I love the combo Kenya Faith.

I don't know that "African-American" would be my first thought! It's firmly geographical and, as far as I know, doesn't get used as a personal name in Africa. Though there is a business called Kenian which is owned by two brothers - you've guessed it, Ken and Ian.I don't know that Kenya is a country I'd willingly identify with at present: homophobic bombast really isn't my style. Rather Kenya than Uganda, I admit. As for the mns you suggest: what's so good about the y in Elise and Paige, and the extra n in Anastacia? Danielle, Noelle, Annabelle and Giselle make me feel rather queasy. Jenese? Can't pronounce it; never seen it before. Perhaps you might wish to choose Nicole?

Interestingly the only Kenya I've known was Kenia (pronounced the same) and she was Latina.I don't like Kenya because I'm not big on place names (Paris, China, etc). Some of your middles would make good first names: Noelle, Giselle, Elyse, Angeline and Anastasia (spelled this way) are favorites of mine.
