[Opinions] I Was Surprised By This Pronunciation...
My best friend's cousin's name is Dausia (prn. Day-jah). I was thinking it was pronounced Daw-zee-uh or Daw-jah. Anyway, do you like this name? I think it is OK...I would never use it...Remember CEDRIC DIGGORY: The REAL Hogwarts ChampionImage Hosted by ImageShack.us

Dasia is a pretty name but not one that I would use. It reminds me of someone who is stuck in a daze. Dausia is a really bad spelling imo.

Cannot help thinking Nausea. Sorry.
Should have read others' replies before doing so myself: the above has been mentioned by two posters already.

I think it's ridiculous for parents to basically make up a name and then spell it in such a way that it's impossible for people to look at it and then pronounce it "correctly". :( If they wanted it pronounced DAY-jah, they could've spelled it Deja, Daijah, Dayzia, etc. But Dausia?? Looks like it rhymes with nausea. :-/
