[Opinions] Re: Eréndira?

I love it. I think it is pretty, soft and compelling.
However, it is very cultural specific, which makes it's usability limited imo.
I think that the inevitability that people will confuse the pronunciation in English-speaking circles is a point against the name. But, if the parents were of spanish-descent that would totally over-ride the confusion.
I would love to meet one, though I know I would never use it for a child myself.
Not thinking of children - the name itself flows beautifully, rolls right off the tongue. It is ethereal but still a strong name. I imagine a very beautiful women with presence and poise.

Is it very culturally specific? I don't feel like it is. When I first saw it, I thought it might possibly be Basque or Welsh, and was surprised to see it's an indigenous Purépecha name. The pronunciation issue I agree with though, but there are a lot of names that people need to be told how to say, so that doesn't put me off entirely.
