Real actual live sibset I just came across. Kanye is a boy (around 8 if I had to guess) and Arnika is a girl (maybe 5 or 6).

Thoughts?

I think they spelt Arnica wrong.

No no no, Arnika is a legitimate variant of Arnica! In languages where the c doesn't make teh same sound as k, it is used. Like here in Hungary, it's spelled Arnika. Besides, not many people are familiar with Arnica anyway, so it's not a big deal even if it's spelled differently.

Kanye I'm assuming is named after Kanye West? He's a cool person. I don't know as much about him as I should, but he's cool. I don't know about non black kids being named after him, but I'm white so I can't comment. You shouldn't either, if you're white and these kids aren't. Then again I (and I'm assuming you) don't know if this kid is named after him.

But Arnica is not a person name, it's a homeopathic remedy. That's what I meant.

I know k instead of c is normal in Europe - I live here!

Probably should have mentioned that these guys live in Australia.

I think it's meant to be a creative version of Annika.

I didn't comment on Kanye's name, if you'll notice. I just said what it was.

I don't know whether he's named after Kanye West or not.
