It's not bad. Far better than Raelyn, which sounds hilariously like railing.
I'm sort of partial to -wyn / wen / win names and I like the Ray sound too, so it does have some appeal. I think I hesitate to say I really like it, because I think it is a little bit hard to say, with the proximity of the R and W.

The stress for Raelynn is on the second syllable, not the first. It's ray LYN.

Yes. It still reminds me of railing.
Once several years ago I was hanging out in a botanical garden with my kids and they met some other kids. The girl introduced her sister, Raelynn, and when she said it I could tell she often gets misunderstood because she pronounced it very slowly and carefully and then repeated it. It's a pretty name on paper, I just think it's too odd and difficult spoken aloud.

I know a few people named Raewyn. It was quite popular in NZ maybe 50 years ago.

It sounds like a little kid saying Raelynn. (That's my niece's name, and her little brother did say it like that before he mastered the L sound, or Waywynn, because he was still working on the R also.)

Raewyn seems fanciful, but it is pretty. It reminds me of Raven except with lighter undertones. With the combination of Ray and Wyn, does it mean "blessed beam of light?"
