I have only heard Roz-ah-lind

A British friend has this name - it's beautiful, one of my very favourites.

Hoo boy. That's my name. I pronounce it ROZ-uh-lind.

I say Roz-ah-lind. Pronouncing the "d".

Roz-ah-lind or Roz-ah-lin. I really love this name.

I've only ever known one, and she pronounced it ROZ-a-lind very firmly and never answered to any nn or shortened form at all. In her case it was a Shakespeare reference (As You Like It), so the rhythm had to fit a pentameter line, which ROZlin wouldn't.

I say ROZ-ə-lynd. I love it, mostly because of Rosalind Franklin, but also because of the Shakespeare connection and I just love vintage names.

It's very pretty, with the Shakesperean reference to boot.

I have heard it ROZ-ə-lind, but I like it more pronounced Ro-sah-lind. Either way it is a lovely name that evokes the image of knights in shining armor and mystically beautiful ladies riding on white horses. Barring romantic legends, Rosalind reminds me of Shakespeare's heroine in 'As You Like It.'
