So I'm from an Irish American family. My name is Brianne, but we pronounce it "BREE-in" not "bree-ANN". It confuses people and I don't have a great answer as to why that is. All the websites I see on baby names say "bree-ANN". Was always told I was named after someone my mother saw on TV. Thinking it was Brianne Leary given my age. Anyone else hear of this or do my parents have a speech impediment?
