[Opinions] Audie
After watching quite a few Audie Murphy movies I've been thinking about the name a lot. Wdyt of Audie for a boy? Do you prefer Auden with the nickname Audie?
.・゜゜・(/。\)・゜゜・.If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary-wise; what it is it wouldn't be, and what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?

I like Audie Murphey's story as well. He was a remarkable man, but I'm not fond of the name Audie. It reminds me of outie and innie.

Not a fan. I think Aubrey or Audrey are better names, but they're more for a girl. Maybe Adrien for a boy?

I think Audie should be only be a nickname. Honestly I think it sounds feminine.

I like Audie, not too big on Auden (I mean, it's nice, but I always feel like something's missing from it). I'm not sure if Audie could stand on its own, though. Maybe as a nickname for Claude or Claudius? Possibly a bit of a stretch, but I've never minded stretching for nicknames.

I second the idea of Claude or Claudius!

I have trouble saying Auden. It either feels like I'm over-enunciating the d or else swallowing it. So as much as the name looks nice, I don't like it. Audie would be a cute nickname for it, though. And it's easier for me to say. But I don't know that it is quite weighty enough to stand alone, in my books.

Murphy or no Murphy, I wouldn't like to be a boy named Audie, even if it was short for Auden. I don't like Auden either. Audie just sounds like a cutesy nn for Audrey, or like a mangled version of the Audi.

I think it's very cute, but I think he should be Auden NN Audie. Auden is cool...it's like Aidan, off the beaten path.

I know a female Audie, short for Audrey. I always found that nickname unnecessary -- it just sounded like a little kid who couldn't say Audrey! I'm guessing that's how her nickname came about in the first place.I never thought about it for a boy, but I like it much better. I'm not huge on Auden, it just seems made up and trendy. However, I can't really think of anything else it could be a nickname for -- Augustin and other August names would probably be a stretch... I'll think on it!

I felt the same way about Audie as a nickname for Audrey.
I can only remember seeing Auden as a surname but it's close to Alden so I thought it would work :)
