I much prefer Melisande with an a. Wouldn't make much difference in French, I suppose, but it does look better. In English, it also opens up the possibility of having both Mel and Sandy as nns.

It's nice, but I prefer the spelling Melisande. Anyway, it's much prettier than Millicent.

It sounds evil to me, like the name of a very powerful witch. ...That sounded really bad, but I don't mean it in a bad way! I actually like it because of how dark and and compelling it is.

I think it's gorgeous, though I'm sure I'm not pronouncing it in the correct "Medieval French" way.

It looks very awkward.

Lovely name in print, though it might be difficult to bear in real life since it's so... medieval.
