[Opinions] Curdie
The Princess and the Goblin was one of my favorite books (and animated films) when I was a kid - still is, actually. I remember that Curdie was my favorite character. What do you guys think of the name Curdie for a boy? Do you think it's usable? (I'm kinda on the fence as to whether it's usable or not. I like the sound of it, but it is kinda nicknamey...)

Hi !!!Curdie ...
I didn't know this fairytale...I'm sorry...
This names is too similar to "cardi" (KAHR-dee) which is the Italian word for "thistles". It also too similar to word "curdi"(KOOR-dee) which means "Kurds".Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I think as a name for a baby now, it's ugly and droll and ... very 1880s. Sort of like Dudley or Cloyd.
If names like Crew and Channing are usable, Curdie surely is. It just doesn't sound fashionable, at all.

I love the book, too, but I wouldn't use Curdie. It's a name that belongs in the realm of fantasy literature, at least to me.
