I kike Valour (this spelling since I'm British and don't really do Amercanised spellings), but I prefer it for a boy, and probably more as a middle. But I guess it could work for a girl; it pretty much sounds like it ends in a (when I say it anyway) which is the ending of so many girls names. It has a good meaning behind it, so that's a plus. Maybe you'd like Valencia as an alternative to Valerie since they have the same meaning.
