If it were spelled Slade, I'd prefer it to Blade...
But with a Y, I think I actually prefer Blayde, because the "slay" part really sticks out to me.

Good point. I think you're right. I was trying to figure out what bugged me about the Slayde spelling.
Either way, ugly name all round.
