[Opinions] Walker?
What do you think of the name walker? What middle names go good with it?

It makes me think of Walker, Texas Ranger. My dad is a fan of that show.
Well, I'm in too deep with The Walking Dead, so the name is synonymous with Zombies for me :-| Aside from the undead, the next association I have for it is Scotch, which isn't necessarily unpleasant. The name definitely has a country type vibe for me as well.
Not a huge fan, depending on how it's used, I guess. I'm wary of the Western feeling names; I'm picky with how they can end up decent or overly trendy.
Walker has a more mature sound than some others, I guess. Like Wesley. Or Tyler. Blech. I'd pair it with something that plays that up, like
Walker Abraham
Walker Charles
Walker Norman
Walker Philip
Walker Richard

I think of walkers. Pedestrians, mobility devices, zombies, toddlers, breast cancer awareness marchers.
It isn't namey.
It plods.
It needs a middle name that's not first-namey either, otherwise the combo sounds like Walker is a title or description, or a command.
Walker Alexandrinus
Walker Maxwell
Walker Ignatius

Sorry to say but "Walker" is a type of name I ONLY see as a surname. As First or middle name, it just doesn't work in my opinion. What comes to mind with this name is:
A common surname
Imagine naming your kid this who turns out to be wheelchair bound (get it?)
A device to help the elderly, disabled or injured get around
OK, I admit, as a middle its not as bad but as a first, I really don't see it working

One of the less attractive surnames-as-first-names. A walker is what an old person uses to help get around, or a TV Texas Ranger.
Like walker Jude :)
Yeah that is definitely my favourite combo! :)
