[Opinions] Lennart
What are your thoughts on Lennart? Or possibly Lennard. I guess if English is your first language, Leonard makes more sense. But Lennart is pronounced the same and I think it looks better. Anyway, any thoughts, opinions?

I think it's way too old fashioned but it's perfect for one of your kids
So you mean my children's names are way too old fashioned? ;-) Haha. No, I see what you mean, but the way you said it was kind of funny.
That would be a nice set!
Our surname is a long one, and all vowels, almost, so we've chosen quite usual names for our children, seems best.
As you know, from your other children, the name will almost certainly "bond" to the child, and you couldn't ever think of them being named something else.
Once in a while, here on BTN, someone writes that they feel they've made a mistake, and want to call their child something else. But that's very rare, I think.
With our children, we had to force ourselves to stop saying"the Baby",and use the actual name. :-)

It's extremely common in Sweden and I know heaps. But it's a name that was common in the 40's, no one is naming a child Lennart nowadays. I can't say I think it's nice, but I still have a weak spot for it since it was my granpa's name and it's also my mother's husband's name.
I like Leonard because of the 'leo' part. Nice lion association. Lennart loses that, and the spelling reminds me of braggart. Lennard would be better, but it still feels like dumbing down the spelling.
Leonard brings to mind the image of an old gentleman. Lennard and Lennart make me think of a sleazy used car salesman.

It looks a whole lot better than Leonard, and as you say, they sound the same. I'd prefer it.
