I'm uncertain of how to pronounce Amalthea. I think it actually has a neat mythology story which without knowing the detail doesn't strike me as inherently negative. I think some clarity on sound would help me decide if I like it.

I like it.. it's quite unusual, though I do struggle with the pronunciation.

I like it, but it is a bit heavy and flowery, like heavy victorian perfume. But I still like it. :)

I love it :) The Last Unicorn was one of my favourite movies as a kid, so it has a lovely ethereal storybook imagery to it. Silvery blue-and-pink, just like a unicorn oughta be. ;)

Hmm. I think I'm with you. Amal = nice. Althea = beautiful. Thea = fun and lively. Amalthea = maybe too heavy of a mouthful. :(

- I love all three and my favourite is Amal-.

Choose Amalthea only because it is similar to these three names is a mistake for me because it will be empty with all meanings and only a name "similar to...".
