My first thought was that it sounded like a last name on a soap opera. :b Not sure why, though. lol I don't care for the sound of "drastic" or the rhyming with "nasty". But the history behind it is quite nice. Perhaps as a mn. :)

Hm... It's kind of cool, in theory, but on a real child I think it'd be too much. I knew a guy named Adrastus (Not related to Andraste but similar in sound; I assume his was related to or a form of Adrastos) in high school who totally did not fit with his grand, mythologically-motivated name. He was into heavy metal and had long, stringy hair. Not what you think of when you think Greek king.

Point being, I think if names are to be given to real children, they ought to be ones that a real variety of people could carry well, not as strange burdens. For him it was a strange burden. For a real child, I think Andraste might turn out to be like that as well. But if you just look at the name itself without thinking of it applied to anyone real, it's pretty neat. It sounds strong and the story behind it is interesting.
