[Opinions] Re: Reuben or Riley
in reply to a message by RDNZL
Riley, though I don't like either one. At least Riley isn't a sandwich.Ha, what would be really funny would be a pair of kids called Reuben and Rachel. A Rachel is a sandwich that's similar to a Reuben but it has coleslaw instead of sauerkraut and I think, corned beef rather than pastrami. You're entitled to your own opinions. There's a sandwich called a Rachel? I never knew that.

Yep. Super common around here.

yes, apparently ...There is a Jewish deli in Ocean City, MD, where we went last summer after the air show, and there was a Reuben and a Rachel on the menu.

I always thought that a Reuben has corned beef and sauerkraut and a Rachel has turkey instead of corned beef and coleslaw instead of sauerkraut. There may be regional variations for all I know. But I always make a Reuben with corned beef, not pastrami.

Tis wrong!:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reuben_sandwichI wonder how many times I've been slipped pastrami when I ordered a Reuben in a restaurant. What is the world coming to.
