I was surprised to discover that the Jennison surname is quite rare as a given name, when it is so similar in appearance and sound to (increasingly) popular names like
Jameson,
Jamison, Jensen, Jenson and similar names. I guess it must be undiscovered by the general public (at least for now), though I don't really know why. Perhaps it is too close (for comfort) to the dated name
Jennifer?
Either way, I was wondering how you all feel about Jennison as a given name. For example, would it be more pleasant to the eyes and ears than, say,
Jamison and Jensen? And would you prefer to see it on a boy or a girl? The name is unisex from what I have been able to tell, but it looks like it is slightly more often given to females than to males.
