I'm from the U.S., and it's perfectly usable. I even grew up around a couple girls named Anaïs, with that pronunciation. It does seem to be more common among Hispanic girls, though - at least, in and around Chicago. Lovely sound.Please rate my personal name lists:www.behindthename.com/pnl/69381
