Help[Games] Year Game - Royal Edition!
I've done two (2) productive things today so I feel I should post something. This might end up being boring as heck, because I'm kind of making it up as I go along!
Basically, this is a year game, only your family is a royal family. Use an 8-sided die: http://www.brockjones.com/dieroller/dice.htm
Parents
One of the parents is a prince or princess: it's up to you which. Roll everything but 'title' for them. The setting can be fictional, or a real country, and you can use any time period! Their names are up to you. The marriage can be for love, arranged for political gain, or a mixture.

Roll for how the country is governed and the monarchy's role:
Government
1-2: Monarchy holds absolute power and is responsible to no one
3-4: The monarch is free to do what they like, but must answer to an assembly of some kind
5-6: The monarch has a small amount of power: most is wielded by a democratic government
7-8: The monarch is merely a figurehead, often used as an international representative - the government wields all legislative powers

6: Another country becomes an enemy
7: Roll a 100-sided die: the number rolled is the percentage of the population who like the current monarch - the consequences of this are up to you
8: The government experiences a major upheaval - reroll the Government section

1-3: The current monarch dies - their eldest child (of a preferred gender, if you want to play like that) takes the throne
4: Someone is injured or ill (permanently or temporarily is up to you)
5: A member of the immediate family passes away
6-8: Someone over 18 gets married
9: A royal divorce occurs! Any one royal couple gets a divorce. Or, someone remarries.
10: The family gets a pet
11: Someone is involved in a media scandal
12: A parent and child fight
