I think it's nice, especially when living in a French speaking country/area. Otherwise I prefer Ophelia. Don't really know how an average English speaker would handle it as English isn't my native language. I wouldn't use a nickname, but the one I like the most is probably Lia/Lie, or possibly Phee.
