Jem? Because if he doesn't, then he should steer clear of
James as well. My friend named her son
James and insisted he will only ever be called
James, but what if he wants to go by
Jaime in high school or his coworkers as an adult call him
Jim and he doesn't mind? You can't control nicknames, unfortunately.
Thaddeus is okay. I have nothing against it. I also don't mind
Thad, but it does sort of have a
Jeb or
Sid or
Jethro sort of vibe to it.
