I think it's usable and practical at about the same level as Hermione and Athena are. It's easy to say once you learn it so in that sense, it's better than Ariadne or Aurora.
I personally would put it in the middle name position, just because otherwise it begs to be shortened (and mispronounced). And Annie doesn't thrill me, neither does Mona or Nem or anything else I can get out of it.
