[Opinions] Paul or Saul?
Which do you prefer, if any? Just wondering.I think they are both decent and nice but my pick has to go to Saul. What about you?

I like Paul better than Saul. Saul is too Bible-character for me. I know that Paul is also Biblical, but it's also more mainstream. That said, I do like Sol as a nickname for Solomon, so my reasoning is pretty flawed. Go figure.

Definitely Saul. It's quickly becoming a favorite. I think it would be adorable on a little boy and nice on a grown man.

I prefer Paul. Maybe I'm biased because it's the masculine version of my name, though...!

I like Paul enough to use, and Saul not much at all, really. Not sure why a single sound makes such a difference, but in this case it does. Now that I think about it, and this is a side issue: I've never met a Saul who wasn't Jewish. And I don't think I've ever met a Jewish Paul. Is this a South African thing, do you suppose, or just coincidence? Is the US full of gentile Sauls?

I'd have to say Paul is my fave, simply because it's my DH's name.

I don't like either, but if I had to choose, I'd choose Paul, because to me it's youthful, while Saul seems old-mannish.

Sorry, I'm not a fan of both of them, and I really dislike Saul.
Please vote on my lists, thanks!

I prefer Paul. perhaps just because it's more familiar.

I hate Paul. I've met several, but never one I liked, and I don't care for the meaning. I don't like the sound either; it reminds me of 'pall' and 'palsy'.So, I'd prefer Saul. I've never met one, and I don't dislike the meaning.

Paul over Saul X 1,000.Paul is handsome and sounds like a guy living in this century. Saul is a crusty old man.

I really like both a lot which is weird because I used to hate Paul. But then I met two really nice men named Paul in Ireland and they totally changed the way I feel about Paul. But Saul has a nicer sound and Saul Hudson makes it a winner, so my choice (today) would be Saul.

I think they're both nice, but I would have to pick Paul
