I've never really understood British naming. Its like a mix between uber-posh pretentious and cutesy-wutesy names. Its an odd combination that is totally British. Are you drawn to the triple and quad names or does everyone do double middle names?
Sylvia Mary Cabell (
Nancy) -I don't mind this combo. It actually works with the super dated
Nancy.
Annabel Charlotte Vivienne (
George,
Margaret) -All lovely names, but it doesn't flow for me as a combo.
Clemency Jane Frances "Clemmie" (
Ned,
Bea,
Kit,
Posy and
Mary) -this works. And woah, that's a lot of kids for the average modern family and I like the nicknames.
Bonnie Clementine (Huxley,
Sullivan) -beautiful orange?
Henrietta Madeline -simple, sweet, respectable.
Molly Kitty Talbot -attack of the nicknames.
Matilda Rose (
Rory,
Louisa) -ya know, this combo is overused but I still find it sweet.
Lydia Cecilia -too much -ia
Philippa Marie-Louise -Not my style, but respectable
Constance Elizabeth -I like it
Martha Ruby Hermione (
Toby,
Rosanna) -This somehow works.
Kit Theodore (
Frank,
Walter) -I like this. I really dislike
Christopher and this is about the only diminutive of it I can stand.
Montague Henry "
Monty" (
Edward) -oh god. "
Monty" haha. How pretentious.
Milo Angus William -There is something about this I like, even though all the names are wildly different in style.
Meriwether Longyear -so pretentious, but I kind of like it.
