If it's pronounced ma-lish-ah it sounds and looks almost exactly like the word militia. Also sounds like the word malicious. If pronounced ma-LEE-sha it just sounds like Alicia with an "m" stuck in the front. I'm not a fan!

Sounds too close to "militia". Although it might work well for a female warrior in a fantasy setting.

I agree with CN. The first thing I think of is militia which is a rather violent name and pretty obvious if you are trying to find a name with a certain meaning or vibe.

Way too close to the word militia for my liking but it certainly depends on what kind of story it is and the setting.
