I like the Baroque period in music. WDYT of Baroque as a boy name? I'm not sure if i'd ever use it but i liken the sound of it. WDYT?

I'm undecided. I give bonus points for using an unusual but familiar word and take away points for using an unusual but familiar word :/ My only words of advice would be that Baroque architecture is as well-known as Baroque music so you'd best be well-versed and liking both. Also, it makes me think of the silly play on words, "If it ain't Baroque, don't fix it."

I like the sounds too, but please don't use it as a name (doesn't it come from the word for a pearl or a rough diamnd or another gemstone?). Also the word sounds like it could be a male name, but the architecture style looks very feminine to me, so that would be another reason not to use it.

Actually.. (Another reason why not to use it!)

Baroque means bizarre. Im a music student and basically thats why they called it the Baroque period, because it meant Bizarre (I have checked this in several text books etc..)

NO NO NO NO...

As a musician i would die if i ever saw this. This actually offends me in a way. I would think the parents were looking for a 'try hard' way to give their son an 'elegant' name.
