Ori and I recently had an oppurtunity to work in the Spanish orphanage that my grandmother was raised in. It was a chance for me to explore my heritage that we couldn't refuse. We're going for six months, and i'm already missing Josie, Zea and Zoe, and we haven't even left yet!!!! My parents and Ori's parents are having the girls for 3 months each while we're gone.
***SIX MONTHS LATER***
Our time in Spain has been an eye-opening and rewarding experience. We got back yesterday, and when our parents met as at the airport I didn't think I'd ever stop crying - my girls grew so much while we were gone! But that's not all.... while we were working in the orphanage a 14 year old girl came to us, she was pregnant and frightened.... She gave birth in the orphanage to twin girls. Unfortunately, there were complications and, right before she died, she asked Orion and I to raise her daughters as her own... We agreed. So, I'm staying with Josie, Azalea and Zoe now, but next week Orion is flying back to Spain to finalise the adoption of our two new daughters, Sofia Carmen and Elena Teresa.
