I like Hartley. It may have even randomly made it in to my top 10 sometime. To clarify this would be a boy in my usage. I love Hart so Hartley is an easy sell for me.

I like Hartley. I went to school with a boy named Hart, but Hartley seems fuller, better.
It reminds me of Hadley which I adore so...

It makes me think of jam, because Hartley's is the leading brand of jam here in the UK!

The founder of Hartley's was the rather wonderfully named (Sir) William Pickles Hartley. Pickles was his mother's maiden name. That's one surname I can't see ever being used as a first name! ;)

As for Hartley as a first name, it's not to my taste, but it's not awful. I've heard worse.

I'm not a fan. It seems like a surname used for its trendy sound, which is really popular at the moment. I dislike most trendy names.

I really like this name for a boy. I don't mind SNs as FNs as long as they sound namey enough (IE Sloan, Hollis, Monroe etc, as opposed to Babcock, Downey, Fowler ect).

I'm sick of circle jerking over how much everyone hates surnames. Zzzz.
