Love, love, love it. Such a beautiful classic! I don’t know why but I always thought the Catherine spelling seems more strong and independent whereas Katherine seems more princess-y and girly.

I love it, especially with a C. I would use it as a middle name if I ever have kids.

I love it, but prefer it spelled Katherine. However, I don't think I'd use it. Partially because Kathleen and Cathleen were popular when I was born, so I grew up with a lot of girls called Kathy and Cathy, including my cousin. Also, Catherine and Katherine themselves were just too popular for centuries.

I'd use it. But if I were using in the first name place, I'd use Katherine.

I'm not sure why exactly there is such a difference, but it completely depends on the combo pour moi.

I love the name Catherine. I may use it myself. I think it sounds refreshing with the nn Kitty. But one of the things I love about Catherine is that it has so many different nicknames, which could fit so many different personalities. I like that it's found throughout history. It has a lot of substance and character.

i would love it if it wasn't for the countless awful Cates/Kates/etc who I've known. and the name itself just being so common.

Blandly inoffensive and inclusive and classic and blah blah blah. It's boring from overuse and defaultism, and wasn't all that great to begin with. Much prefer Kathleen or Kaitlyn or Katrina.

Love it. I prefer the Katherine / Katharine spellings though.

I love it, as it has personal meaning to me, as it's my maternal grandmother's name. She gave it to her eldest daughter (my mum) as a middle name, who then passed it on to my big sister as her middle name, and my sister has just done the same with her newborn daughter.
