WDYT? I *think* it's pronounced "Ra-tax-us", at least, it was in the English Babar cartoons. ^ ^

Ah, I love(d) Barbar.
I don't remember a character named Rataxes. Like Elemmennope, the "taxes" jump out at me too, especialy since it's a few days before the filing deadline here in the U.S.
Is it a real name? I want to say it looks Basque, but I haven't a clue why I would say that since I know next to nothing about Basque names(!)

Not familiar with the cartoon. All I really see is the word "taxes."

Ack! I *loved* that TV-sjow Babar when I was little! Wasn't Rataxès the schemey rhino king? Anyways, I kinda like the name, though I coulnd't imagine it on a real person it'll always make me think of the character :-)
