I think the Harry Potter character probably made it unusable, because that's the only place most people will have heard it.
Beyond that, I like the connection to Walpurgis Night and the Wal/Val part, but I dislike the *burga even if it's pronounced birka.
The meaning by itself isn't bad, but in connection with the HP character, it makes me think "domineering"...colorwise, I'd say it's black/plum/brown.
It is kind of cool...like, idk, finding a battleaxe in your great-grandma's attic? but I'd prefer another Wal/Val name.
