Ludovic sounds very heavy to me, and both Ludo and Ludovic sound terribly old fashioned. That's not always a bad thing though. But I can't say I'm a fan.

My godson's name is Ludovic. I love it, and also Ludo which we call him for short

I've always enjoyed it, but since Victor is a family name on both sides, I'd never use it.
